Rules of Civility by Amor Towles

Another 5 star rating-this was simply wonderful. A fascinating framing of the story-an elderly couple looking at a photograph and recognizing a friend) and a dead on appealing cover from font to photo, draw you into the swanky jazzy world of the late 1930s. Nightclubs, cocktails, amazing clothes, rich folk in the Hamptons, oh it’s all there. And at its heart a charismatic fellow named Tinker Grey, two women who are friends and he of course comes between them.  There are other men as well and lots of love and heartbreak. This was excellent (I’d say more, but as usual read this a few months ago.)
