Christmas at our house always includes someone receiving a book that is some sort of compendium of funny information. This year I gave Paul More Information than You Require by John Hodgman (technically not true information at all but I’m classifying it here anyway) and also 5 People Who Died During Sex: and 100 Other Terribly Tasteless Lists. We love this sort of stuff (and it’s why we are fans of Mental Floss.) Though it was my gift to him I’m already done reading it before he is. Now my head is full of factoids about people who died on the toilet, insane royals, famous drunks, disgusting ancient remedies, and more. I enjoyed all the crazy stuff about royals so much that I may seek out his other book, Royal Babylon the Alarming History of European Royalty, and read that too. Idea bathroom reading, car trip reading, lying around the house reading, and reading bits aloud to anyone nearby reading!
